A TRIBUTE TO THE LOCO'S

i finnaly traveled to loytsa with the forecast promising full power wind ,

which indeed happend and it  was perfect for me to try my new 4.4 loco 

2 days of super strong wind in loytsa (all others freestylers where on their 4.0's )

and all i can say is WOW 

i have never been on the water with bigger size than anyone else and performing so good .

usually i am on 0.2-0.5 m2 less but now even though i was overpowered,  the sail 

was  totally performing more speed than drag and power .just perfect

air moves was logical to get better in these conditions but the sail was also 

very stable in performing sliding moves .

i was lucky enough to sail in drepano  the day before yesterday with 4.8

and then 4.4 again so i could see which was the lower wind limit to use it, 

and i can say it is preety low i think a bit under 20 knots .

when i was thinking of ordering the 4.4 i was a bit hectic 

about it because i didn't know how exactly it  was going to work 

if for example it was going to be so strong when overpowered 

and when the conditions are on-off because that is how it is when it 

is strong here in greece ,now  after testing i can't forgive my self 

not ordering the 4.0 also .....

well it 's ok next year ...

enough with words ,jonh bought a new camera and he was there to

ps yesterday there was a speed event in drepaano
unfotunately i couldn't compete but the guys there
went up to 40+ knots not bad e?
congratulation to minos and nikos who went preety close

forecast is looking good for patras  maybe start also slalom training
with these spring breezes
